A bit about me

My passion for Osteopathy began many years ago, after finishing an Arts Degree at The University of Melbourne. I came across Osteopathy in some of my research and it was love at first sight. I enrolled to study Osteopathy at RMIT and the learning has not stopped since. Osteopathic philosophy resonates with my beliefs: I believe we all have an innate capacity to heal. I'm passionate about helping people to find this capacity within themselves.

I have found my regular practice of Mindfulness Meditation to be of great benefit in being present for my patients, and for helping them to be present for themselves.

I have a deep interest and fascination in how we hold our experiences in our body, and how these 'embodied experiences' can manifest in lots of different ways. This has led me to my current studies: Somatic Experiencing (or SE). SE is an unique approach to working with patients with embodied trauma which was developed by Dr. Peter Levine. It promises to be a valuable adjunct to my osteopathic work. Watch this space!

Outside of work, I love to be by the ocean, by rivers, or in nature, surrounded by my beloved family. I love to surf, and have recently discovered that I quite like fishing too!

My desire is to help restore balance, harmony and health to the people I work with. I look forward to meeting you and helping you towards health.
